The Stonewall Writer of the Year Award is one of the Stonewall Awards, presente annually by Stonewall UK.
Winners to date have been:
- 2006: Sarah Waters
- 2007: Val McDermid for Beneath the Bleeding
- 2008: Stella Duffy for The Room of Lost Things
- 2009: Sarah Waters for The Little Stranger
- 2010: Jointly Stella Duffy for Theodora: Actress, Empress, Whore and Rupert Smith for Man’s World
- 2011: Alan Hollinghurst for The Stranger’s Child
