SLAGO

SLAGO (The Surrey and London Association of Gay Organisations) is an umbrella group encompassing a number of LGBT groups in central and south London.
Member groups
SLAGO member groups as of 2011 are:
- Allegro Music Group
- Bromley Gay and Bisexual Men's Group
- CAGS (Croydon Area Gay Society)
- CHE (Campaign for Homosexual Equality)
- The LGCM London Fellowship (3F)
- LMG (London Monday Group)
- Metropolitan Community Church, South London
- SLG (South London Gays).
The following groups were members at some time between 1997 and 2002, according to Out of the Shadows, Page 209:
- Croydon Area Gay Youth (CAGY)
- Croydon Friend
- Guildford Area gay Society (GAGS)
- Hiking Dykes
- Kingston and Richmond Area Gay Society (KRAGS)
- Libertines
- Magnet
- Pimpernel
- Redhill Area Gay Society (RAGS)
- Sunday-at-Two.
Activities
SLAGO maintains a list of forthcoming events of interest to its member groups, and organises special events such as the annual trip to Brighton in May, and the Purley Garden Party in August. The groups compete in a variety of contests for the SLAGO Cup, awarded annually.
Membership of SLAGO entitles each group to its own website, provided by SLAGO, if it doesn't have one already.
Conferences
SLAGO at one time held conferences. The last of these was held at the Bread and Roses, Clapham, with 35 delegates, representing the following 16 groups:
