The St Katharine's Group (SK) was possibly the very first group set up to cater for the social needs of gay people, following partial decriminalisation in 1967. It was set up following an Albany Trust conference at Wychcroft in Surrey in 1968, and was housed at the Royal Foundation of St Katharine, an Anglican institution in Limehouse. It closed in 1994.[1]
