Rhondda Cynon Taf is a county borough in south Wales. It was previously a major coal-mining area. The borough was created in 1996 by uniting three districts in the former county of Mid Glamorgan.The main towns in Rhondda Cynon Taf include Aberdare, Pontypridd and Tonypandy.
