Harrogate is a spa town in North Yorkshire. The wider local government district of the same name also includes the city of Ripon.

LGBT history

There was a Harrogate CHE group in the 1970s.

In 2007, three young men were sent to prison for a homophobic attack on a gay man in Valley Gardens.[1]

The first Harrogate Pride was held in September 2012.[2]
