Bournemouth CHE Group was a CHE group for Bournemouth and the surrounding area. It was originally set up in October 1971 as South West Hants CHE Group (also known as South Hants CHE Group). It was recognised as a CHE group in December that year.[1] In 1971, "South West Hants" would have included Bournemouth and Christchurch, which were transferred from Hampshire to Dorset in 1974.

The group was renamed Southampton/Bournemouth CHE and subsequently Bournemouth CHE Group, a separate Southampton CHE Group having been fuonded in November 1972.
