Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland, located on the River Clyde. The University of Glasgow was founded in 1451. Glasgow became an important seaport in the 18th century, and following the induistrial revolution it became a major centre of manufacturing and shipbuilding. It was known for a time as "The second city of the Empire".[1]There have been several attempts at setting up a Glasgow LGBT Centre.
