Cornelius McCarthy (1935–2009), known as "Con", was a British painter, specialising in studies of the male nude, in gouache and other media. His work has often been featured at the Adonis Art Gallery, and the gallery have published a book about his paintings.McCarthy and his long-term partner Alec formed a civil partnership in 2006.
In 2010 the Adonis Art Gallery mounted a memorial exhibition of his work.
