Sarah Weir OBE is head of arts for London's 2012 Olympics. She was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours LIst in 2012[1].

Weir, who was educated at Birkbeck College and was formerly a Stonewall (UK) trustee, is openly gay. She was formerly the Executive Director at Arts Council England and Executive Director at London's Almeida Theatre. She was one of the original patrons of LGBT History Month, along with Cyril Nri.
