Simon Casson, producer of Duckie, lives in Stockwell.

In December 2015, gay bodybuilder Marcel Schoeman was stepped in to defend a woman who was being harassed in Lett Road, Stockwell, and the perpetrator then subjected him to homophobic abuse and tried to run him over with his car.[1]
