The Derek Oyston CHE Film Award was an award presented by the Campaign for Homosexual Equality from 2009 to 2013. It was for "the film screened at the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival which most reflects the aims and objectives of CHE". It was named in honour of Derek Oyston who bequeathed a large amount of money to CHE.

The intention of the Award was that it would encourage filmmakers to make films that document the experience of campaigning and the continuing struggles for LGBT rights in the UK and around the world.

Winners have been as follows:

  • 2009: Darling! the Pieter-Dirk Uys Story, directed by Julian Shaw.
  • 2010: The Kuchus of Uganda, directed by Mathilda Piehl.
  • 2011: Mutantes (Punk Porn Feminism), directed by Virginie Despentes.
