North Down is a local government district in Northern Ireland. The main town is Bangor, County Down. It is to become part of the North Down and Ards district in 2015.
LGBT history
Cllr Andrew Muir was the first openly gay mayor of North Down, elected by the Borough Council in June 2013.[1]
