Village Spartans logo
Manchester Village Spartans is a gay and inclusive rugby union team based at Sale Sports Club, Trafford, Greater Manchester.

The team was founded in 1999 by Simon Stanley and Duncan Leckie, to provide a Manchester equivalent to the Kings Cross Steelers.

The 1st XV compete in the North West Intermediate League, and the Spartans have also taken part in the Bingham Cup, the Union Cup and the Hadrian Cup.
