The Nationwide Issue No 5 Festival of Light Bulletin the publicity magazine of Mary Whitehouse ran an article on the Greater London Council (GLC) and homosexual youth clubs, at the time London Gay Teenage Group were seeking registration from the Inner London Education Authority (ILEA) which was a subsidiary of the GLC. Later we learned that a discussion had taken place between Margaret Thatcher and Mary Whitehouse concerning the legality of certain gay groups.
