Jonathan Harbourne

Founder and administrator of the LGBT History Project. I started this wiki about 15 years ago after attending an LGBT History Month event and realised I knew nothing about LGBT History. I sat up all night trying to figure out how to set up a server and install this software.

Location

I currently live near Maldon in Essex, but I lived most of my life in London, was brought up in Cardiff, and went to college in Plymouth.

LGBT involvement

I started the London Raiders softball team, the London Gay Bikers motorcycle club, and am currently the Rear Commodore East Coast for the S&CA gay sailing club. I used to volunteer for GMFA, and I lead Britain’s bid to host the 2018 Gay Games at the Olympic Park. When I worked for BNY Mellon I chaired their LGBT ERG, and was a member of Interbank LGBT network. I co-founded the LGBT Network of Networks.
