The University of the Arts London is a university based in London, specialising in art, design, fashion and the performing arts. It is a collegiate university; a federation of six colleges: Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, the London College of Communication, the London College of Fashion and Wimbledon College of Arts. It was created in 1986 as the London Institute and became a university in 2004.

In 2005 Grayson Perry was appointed chancellor of the university.[1]
