Buckinghamshire is a county in south-east England. The county council area includes four districts:

The ceremonial county also includes a unitary authority, the Borough of Milton Keynes.

From April 2020 the four non-unitary districts, together with the Buckinghamshite County Council, will be abolished and replaced with a unitary authority to be called Buckinghamshire Council. The status of Milton Keynes will not be affected.

Buckinghamshire is part of the Thames Valley Police area.
