Whitechapel High Street 1905

Whitechapel is an area of the East End, within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It was famous in Victorian times as the scene of the Jack the Ripper murders.

LGBT history

Whitechapel was one of the areas targetted by "Gay free zone" posters in 2011.
