Jeremy Bentham

Jeremy Bentham (1748–1832) was a philosopher and social reformer. He advocated the abolition of slavery and capital punishment, equal rights for women, and the decriminalisation of homosexuality.
Born in [[Spitalfields in 1748 to a Tory family, he began his formal education at the age of 3 after showing remarkable precocity.
