International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia

The International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO) is held every year since 2005 on the 17th of May, commemorating the day in 1990 when homosexuality was removed from the e World Health Organization's International Classification of Diseases.[1]

The "International Day Against Homophobia" was first celebrated in 2005. In 2009 the name was expanded to include "Transphobia".
