Walsall

Walsall is a metropolitan borough in the West Midlands, centred on the Black Country town of the same name.

LGBT history

There was a Black Country / Walsall CHE group in the 1970s.

Women Against Anti-Social Persecution (WAASP) is "the voice for the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and trans-gender community (LGBT), their families and friends".^[1] According to Gay Times it has beern renamed "Walsall LGBT" and has a drop in/ resource centre, community room , access for the disabled,car park, etc.^[2]

Walsall Pride was held for the first time in August 2012.^[3]
