Ipswich is the county town of Suffolk.

LGBT history

There was an Ipswich CHE group in the 1970s. The Olive Leaf was a popular gay pub in the 1980s.

The Suffolk LGBT Network is based in Ipswich.[1]

There is an Ipswich Gay Men's Book Club.[2]

The Sailing and Cruising Association holds regular meetings in Ipswich.
