Bear Pride is an annual event for the bear community.

It was started in 2002 by Mark Ames under the name "Bear Necessities" to bring the Bear Community together. Following a very successful turn-out in 2003, the name was changed to Bear Pride in 2004. In 2007 this one day event became a three day event with international artists acts and a globally mixed attendance.[1]
