Phyll Opoku-Gyima at a Stonewall event

Phyll Opoku-Gyimah is a civil servant, and founder and Managing Director of UK Black Pride. She was nominated woman of the year at the black LGBT community awards in 2007.[1]

She was ranked number 64 in the Pink List 2011, 72 in the World Pride Power List 2012 and 72 in the World Pride Power List 2013. The World Pride Power List 2013 article said:

"Founder and managing director of UK Black Pride, Opoku-Gyimah, or Lady Phyll as she is known, campaigns for equality in the workplace through her seat on the TUC race relations committee."[2]
