A proposal to erect "Pink Plaques" in Brighton to commemorate local LGBT people was suggested in 2006 by Councillor Bill Randall of the Brighton and Hove Green Party, who suggested that Dusty Springfield and Tony Stuart should be among the people commemorated.[1] Other names canvassed included Count Eric Stenbock and the gay arts patron Edward Thompson.[2]
