Wrexham (Welsh Wrecsam) is a local government area and county borough in north-east Wales. It was formerly part of Clwyd. The town of Wrexham is the main built-up area.

LGBT history

In 1757 Hugh Hughes, a hatter, was accused of sodomy by Samuel Matthews. However, the jury found there was no case to answer.[1]

The LGBT Foundation are listed as operating a drop-in and other events in Wrexham.[2]
