The UK Web Archive is a service from the British Library, which aims to hold archived copies of important UK websites. Between 2005 and 2010 it was overseen by the UK Web Archiving Consortium (UKWAC), which has since been replaced by the Digital Preservation Coalition.

At present the consent of the website owner is required before a site can be archived. However the British Library are pressing to be given the right to archive any site, in the same way that they currently have the right to receive a copy of every book published in the UK.

This site has been selected for archiving - see LGBT_History_UK:Community_portal for the latest information.
