Gay Men's Press (GMP) was a London-based specialist publishing house founded in 1979, at a time when mainstream publishers were reluctant to take books by gay writers. It was part of the Millivres Prowler Group, which received an award [1]
but ceased trading in 2006.[2]
Perhaps the most notorious of the company's publications was the children's book Jenny lives with Eric and Martin, which sparked off a furore leading to Section 28.
