Eton College is probably the most famous of English public schools. It was founded in 1440 by King Henry VI as "The King's College of Our Lady of Eton besides Wyndsor". It counts a large number of British prime Ministers (including David Cameron) amongst its former pupils.

Noteable gay old Etonians include Dilwyn Knox and John Maynard Keynes.
