Rev Peter Cowell and Rev Dr David Lord are Anglican priests.
Rev Cowell was Chaplain at St Bartholomew's Hospital in the City of London, where he met Dr Lord, from New Zealand, who worked there as a medic, and was himself ordained priest.
In 2008 they had a civil partnership followed by a controversial blessing service in the church of St Bartholomew The Great, West Smithfield, next to the hospital.[1]
Rev Cowell and Rev Lord were listed under "Glamour couples" in the Pink List 2008.
As Peter and David Lord Cowell, they now live in New Zealand, where David is an emergency doctor at Waikato Hospital, and Peter is an independent marriage celebrant and administrator of St Peter's Cathedral.[2]
