East Dunbartonshire is a council area in Scotland. It was created in 1996 from parts of the Bearsden and Milngavie district and the Strathkelvin district, in the former Strathclyde region. It contains many of the suburbs of Glasgow.

Jackie Kay was brought up in Bishopbriggs.
LGBT Youth Scotland have an East Dunbartonshire project.[1]
John Morrison was leader of East Dunbartonshire council.
