Allerdale is a borough in Cumbria. The main towns are Workington, Cockermouth and Keswick.
LGBT history
The poet F W H Myers was born in Keswick in 1843.[1]
The Steam Packet Inn in Workington was at one time listed as a gay pub, and Workington was described as Cumbria's most gay-friendly town.[2]
