Kilburn is an area of North London, divided between the London Boroughs of Brent and Camden. The area has a large Irish population.

The Hampstead and Kilburn CHE Group was founded in 1972. In Amiable Warriors (vol 1) (2015) Scott-Presland states 'Kilburn CHE held its first meeting in May 1972, its chair being Alan Louis. Louis supplied photographs to the publication Lunch and also ran discos [1].
