Norwich Cathedral

Norwich is a cathedral city and the county town of Norfolk.

LGBT history

Norwich CHE Group was founded in February 1972. Another CHE group was formed in September 1977 [1].

There was a Norwich GLF in 1972.

From 1977 the Young People's Theatre Project at The Royal Court Theatre in London, performed a play about gay young people called 'Not in Norwich'. This play edited by David Lane toured the country and put Norwich on the map.

Norwich Pride has been held in July.[2]

Women on Women was a local lesbian group.
