Buckinghamshire is a county in south-east England. The county council area includes four districts:
The ceremonial county also includes a unitary authority, the Borough of Milton Keynes.
From April 2020 the four non-unitary districts, together with the Buckinghamshire County Council, will be abolished and replaced with a unitary authority to be called Buckinghamshire Council. The status of Milton Keynes will not be affected.
Buckinghamshire is part of the Thames Valley Police area.
