Rother shown within East Sussex

Rother is a local government district in East Sussex. It takes its name from the River Rother. The main towns in the district are Rye, Bexhill and Battle.

LGBT history

The historic house Great Dixter in Northiam was the home for many years of the writer and gardener Chistopher Lloyd.

The Hastings and Rother Rainbow Alliance provides support for local LGBT people.

The Rother and Hastings LGBT Project is a project of the University of Brighton's Community University Partnership Programme.[1]
