Q Word (previously Northampton Gay Book Group) is a social LGBT book group in Northampton that was formed in 2011 with the literary remit of exploring gay aspects through a variety of literature.
Q Word uses reading as a common anchor to unite the LGBT community in Northampton and the surrounding areas, seeking literature that confronts our perception of what "gay" is, what it means to be gay and what it means to be affected by gay issues; how "gay" affects our lives and the lives of people around us in different ways; how "gay" makes us feel and how it shapes the world in which we live.
