Lewes is a town in East Sussex. The local government district of the same name also includes the towns of Newhaven, Peacehaven, and Seaford. The Lewes bonfire celebrations on the 5th of November are the largest in the country.
LGBT history
Charleston Farmhouse, in the village of Firle, was the country meeting place of the Bloomsbury Group.
