Margaret Smith

Margaret Smith (born 1961) is a Scottish Liberal Democrat politician. She was MSP for Edinburgh West from 1999 to 2011.

She was the first openly lesbian MSP.[1]

She split from her husband in 2000. In 2006 she had a civil partnership with Suzane Main.[2]
