Rutland is a county in the East Midlands. It was historically the smallest English county. From 1974 it was a included in Leicestershire, but in 1997 it was restored as a county and became a unitary authority. The county town is Oakham.

There is an LGBT Oral History Project for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.[1]
