Ken Plummer is a sociologist, specialising in lesbian and gay studies. He worked at Essex University from 1975, retiring in 2006 because of ill-health.^[1] He edits the journal Sexualities.^[2]

He was listed under "Lifetime achievement award" in the Pink List 2011.
