Leicestershire is a county in the east midlands. The county council area contains seven local government districts; additionally the cermonial county includes the City of Leicester which is a unitary authority.

Leicestershire Police covers Leicestershire (including Leicester) and Rutland.

There is an LGBT Oral History Project for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.[1]
