Thomas Newton was mentioned twice in the Old Bailey records for the crime of sodomy with against him. Both men were hanged on 9 May 1726 at Tyburn, Thomas Wright and Gabriel Lawrence), who was caught in a raid on the Molly House, the House of Margaret Clap.
