Outhouse East is a charity that provides support and information to the LGBT people of Essex. It is based in Colchester town centre and provides a range of services and groups free of charge.
It was founded in 1979 as a one night a week helpline called Colchester Gay Switchboard. Its founding was linked to the Colchester CHE Group.[1]
