The Old Town Hall, Swindon

Swindon is a town in Wiltshire. It was formerly a railway town, hosting works for the Great Western Railway. The current Swindon local government area was formed in 1974 and was originally called Thamesdown. It became a unitary authority in 1997.

LGBT history

There was a Swindon CHE group in the 1970s.

Swindon and Wiltshire Pride has been held in Swindon since 2008.[1]

Out of the Can is an LGBT youth group.[2]
