Uttoxeter is a town in East Staffordshire, noted for its racecourse.

LGBT history

Quentin Crisp attended Denstone College, a local public school, in the 1920s.

In 2011 a shopfitter, Jason Gascoigne, was jailed for homophobic abuse and spitting at a gay couple.[1]

The lesbian music festival, L Fest has been held at the racecourse in 2013 onwards.
