Ross Burgess, October 2012

I founded the Tunbridge Wells CHE group many years ago, I've been active for a long time in Croydon Area Gay Society (CAGS), and helped to edit Out of the Shadows, a book about gay groups in London. I was an Executive Committee member of CHE and then a Trustee of the CHE Research Trust. For three years I was a Trustee of the LGBT Consortium. My partner (Roger) and I formed a civil partnership on the first day the law allowed in England, subsequently converted it to marriage. Following Roger's death, I married Peter Burman. We now live mainly in Edinburgh.
