Rainbow Nation is a term sometimes used to refer to South Africa. It has also been the name of an online resource at www.rainbownation.co.uk, which has had two quite distinct existences. Around 2004 it was used by a company called Rainbow Nations, with no apparent LGBT links, which specialised in teaching schoolchildren about South Africa.[1] The site then went out of use, but was resurrected as an LGBT online resource by 2012, with information about gay events, for instance Bear Pride.[2] As of October 2013, the site is once again unobtainable.
