Wakefield County Hall

Wakefield is a city and metropolitan borough in West Yorkshire. It lies between Leeds and Sheffield and includes the "Five Towns" of Normanton, Pontefract, Featherstone, Castleford and Knottingley.

LGBT history

Wakefield Pride has been held in August since 2005.[1][2]

Wakefield Gay Group (WaGG) is a monthly social group which had its first meeting in September 2011.[3]
