The Fed logo

The LGBT Federation North East, also known as The Fed, is a not-for-profit community focused organisation working to unite LGBT across the north east of England. It works with individuals, groups and organisations to develop self-sustaining activities that aim to change attitudes and behaviour towards LGBT people.[1]

The Fed:

  • Develops working partnerships across the region
  • Organises special interest groups and events
  • Undertakes research which aims to affect policy
  • Coordinates social activities and facilitates friendships
  • Provides safe spaces for people to meet
  • Publishes out northeast magazine.[1]
